| DIN 982 has been replaced by ISO 7040. They have limited interchangeability. The threads M7-M18-M22 have been omitted and M3-M4-M30-M36 have been added. The nut heights have been changed. The width across flats have been changed for: M10 from 17mm to 16mm - M12 from 19mm to 18mm - M14 from 22mm to 21mm. Only applicable for the standard thread, the fine thread was moved to ISO 10512. Hardness class 12 has been omitted. This ISO standard is only applicable for hardness classes 5-8-10. |
