With spring in sight, everyone goes outside to put the garden in order again. If you use screws outside, they must of course be resistant to moisture and rain. That is why it is best to use stainless steel screws for decks and outdoor constructions. In our pfs+ range, we have different types of stainless steel screws.
Stainless steel screws type C2 have the best mechanical properties of the stainless steel screws. You can use them in non-aggressive environments for outdoor constructions and terraces in wood types without tannic acid.

A2 or AISI 304
Type A2 stainless steel combines excellent corrosion resistance with good mechanical properties. This makes it the most commonly used wood screw for outdoor use.

A4 or AISI 316
If there are additional factors that may corrode the screw, such as around swimming pools or in coastal areas, it is best to use stainless steel type A4. These are extremely corrosion resistant and are also recommended for certain types of hardwood due to the tannic acids in the wood.
