CBAM update
CBAM: impact on imports and prices from 2026 onwards
From 2026 onwards, the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) will be fully implemented. This European regulation requires importers to report the CO₂ emissions of certain imported products and to bear the associated costs.
pgb-Europe holds the required CBAM declarant status, ensuring full continuity of its import activities. Although not all details have been finalised yet, it is already clear that CBAM may have an impact on product prices from 2026 onwards, particularly for products with a higher carbon intensity.
We are closely monitoring developments related to CBAM and will keep you informed as soon as more information becomes available.
